Time goes by, a car
I call it, she says, "No"
I say, "Come on, don't be afraid
Get in", she got in

So gently I took her hand
While my thoughts wandered far away
When in winter it would tighten my heart

But the memory of the past
Was for her the greatest pain
Because to the world she had given
Beauty and innocence

So when at her doorway
She gave me a smile
In her beautiful eyes of passion
A tear sprang forth
