Twelfth Night

I loved her beyond belief, perhaps more than any man could,
And I worshipped her so much as to imagine her as mine
For her, I became a good, honest, and faithful husband,
And I made work the purpose of my life;
Some time after we tied our destiny,
A son was born, the pride of my home;
And my happiness was such, when I saw my way clear,
To be a family man, honest and hard-working.

But one Twelfth Night,
When I came back home,
I discovered she was betraying me
With my best friend.
And wounded in my self-esteem,
I wanted to avenge the outrage;
Full of anger and courage,
I killed them both without compassion!

What a sight my friends, I dare not remember it,
It fills me with shame, hatred and resentment.
What is the point of being good? If apart from avenging myself,
They stabbed my heart with the dagger of sorrow.
That's why my friend, since today is Twelfth Night,
The kid has left his little shoes outside;
He's waiting for a present but he doesn't know that his mother,
For being unfaithful and treacherous, his father killed her!
