Cuando va corriendo

La barranca y el puente

El sembrado se queda pendiente
Porque ya los bueyes
No quieren jalar

La humareda
De mi jacalito

In the morning
Upon returning from the capital

Oh, how lovely my Susana looks!
As she runs
Through the wheat field

The ravine and the bridge
And my dog comes to greet me

The sown field remains unfinished
Because the oxen
No longer want to pull

The smoke
From my little hut
Now spreads throughout the wheat field

You can see the stream
That every evening
Rocks me to sleep
