پیش ما سوختگان مسجد و میخانه یکـیست
حـرم و دیـر یکی، سـبحه و پـیمانه یکیسـت

اینهمه جنگ و جدل حاصل کوتهنظری است
گـر نـظر پـاک کنی کـعبه و بـتخانه یکیسـت

هـر کسی قصهی شـوقش به زبانی گـویـد
چون نکو مینگرم حاصل افسانه یکیست

اینهمه قـصه ز سـودای گرفتاران اسـت
ور نه از روز ازل دام یکی،دانه یکیست

ره هرکس به فسونی زده آن شـوخ ار نـه
گریهی نیمه شب و خندهی مستانه یکیست

گر زمن پرسی از آن لطف که من میدانم
آشـنا بـر در ایـن خـانه و بـیگانه یکیسـت

هـیچ غـم نیست که نسبت به جـنونم دادنـد
بهر این یک دو نفس عاقل و دیوانه یکیست

عـشق آتـش بـود و خـانه خـرابی دارد
پیش آتش دل شمع و پر پروانه یکیست

گر به سر حد جنونت ببرد عشقعماد
بـی وفـایی و وفـاداری جـانـانـه یکیسـت

Pishe Ma Sookhteh Delan

Before burning lovers, the mosque and tavern are one,
The temple and the monastery are one, the rosary and the goblet are one.

All this war and strife is the result of short-sightedness,
If you purify your intentions, the Kaaba and the idol house are one.

Everyone tells the story of their passion in their own way,
When I look closely, the essence of the story is one.

All these stories are about the passion of the prisoners,
Otherwise, from the beginning of time, the trap has been one, the grain has been one.

Everyone's path is enchanted by that coquette,
A midnight cry and a drunken laugh are one.

If you ask me about the grace that I know,
The familiar one at the door of this house and the stranger are one.

I have no worries that they attribute to my madness,
For these two breaths, the sane and the insane are one.

Love is a fire that destroys homes,
Before the fire of the heart, the candle and the butterfly's wings are one.

If love drives you to the brink of madness,
The beloved's unfaithfulness and faithfulness are one.
