In Christus ist mein ganzer Halt
Er ist mein Licht, mein Heil, mein Lied
Der Eckstein und der feste Grund
Sicherer Halt in Sturm und Wind
Wer liebt wie er, stillt meine Angst
Bringt Frieden mir mitten im Kampf?
Mein Trost ist er in allem Leid
In seiner Liebe find' ich Halt

Gott offenbart in einem Kind
Der Herr der Welt, verlacht, verhöhnt
Und von den Seinen abgelehnt
Doch dort am Kreuz
Wo Jesus starb und Gottes Zorn ein Ende fand
Trug er die Schuld der ganzen Welt
Durch seine Wunden bin ich heil

Dunkel umfing das Licht der Welt
Doch morgens früh am dritten Tag
Wurde die Nacht vom Licht erhellt
Der Tod besiegt, das Grab ist leer

Denn ich bin sein, und er ist mein

God revealed in a child

Where Jesus died and God's wrath came to an end

Through His wounds I am healed

Darkness enveloped the light of the world
But early on the third day
The night was illuminated by the light
Death conquered, the tomb is empty
The curse of sin is no more
For I am His, and He is mine
With His blood he cleanses me

I am born anew through Christ
My life lies in His hand
From my first breath
And no power in this world
Can snatch me from Him who holds me
Until the end of time
When He appears in glory
