Tirado en una cama no hace más que llorar.

Solo se escucha esta canción

Dormía tranquilo el conventillo,
Nada turbaba el silencio de la noche
Cuando se oyó sonar allá en la oscuridad
El disparo de una bala fatal.
Corrieron ansiosos los vecinos
Que presentían el final de aquel drama
Y se encontraron tirado en una cama,
Sobre un charco de sangre, al pobre payador.

Defeated, with a bitter soul,
Without hope, disgusted with life,
The poor minstrel weeps in his orphanage,
Without finding solace for his pain.
The guitar hangs on a nail...
In a corner it has been abandoned...
He no longer cares about his friends...
Lying in a bed, he does nothing but cry.
And on some occasion

The conventillo slept peacefully,
Nothing disturbed the silence of the night
When it was heard to sound there in the darkness
The shot of a fatal bullet.
The neighbors ran anxiously
Who sensed the end of that drama
And they found themselves lying on a bed,
On a pool of blood, the poor minstrel.
But, before he died,
Someone heard him sing like this:
