Был повержен змей лихой
Война юного рукой,

Девою-Зарёй пленён,
С ней в цвету танцует он,

Папоротника цветком! ...
Тяжелеют ветви древ,
Жатвы час сменяет сев,
Сладок пир, багрян закат,
И кружится листопад.
Ход времён не превозмочь -
Сердца жар погасит ночь,
Змей расправит крылья тьмы,
Отворит Врата Зимы.
Но герой родится вновь,
И огнём займётся кровь,
Солнце выйдет из ворот,
Восемь раз пир созовёт.

The Sun emerges from its gate,
The Heavenly Boat's path - a year's fate
