Streng genommen ist mein Leben wirklich ganz normal.
So wie das vieler and'rer Leute eigentlich banal
Ich stehe früh am Morgen auf, der Tag nimmt seinen Lauf.
Abends ab ins Bett, nix Besond'res, aber nett.
Seit ein paar Wochen hat sich das geändert

Was das soll und wie das kommt, das weiß ich leider nicht.
Warum schlägt mir das Schicksal wie Mike Tyson ins Gesicht?
Ich würde gerne klär'n, soll mich das etwa etwas lehr'n?
Damit Licht ins Dunkel fällt, hab ich vier Thesen aufgestellt
Eins: Wenn man am Boden liegt, heißt das nicht, man wär' besiegt.
Zwei: Pech ist ganz gewöhnlich, nimm es also nicht persönlich.
Drei: Zuviel Nabelschau ist nicht gut für den Stressabbau.
Vier: Gut oder scheiße ist nur Betrachtungsweise.

Und ist mein Glas halb leer, dann nehm' ich's nicht so schwer
Und nehme mir mit Spaß ein nur halb so großes Glas
Denn selbst ein halb so großes Glas reicht hierfür aus

Da ist ein helles Licht, das ich im Tunnel seh'.

Strictly speaking, my life is really quite normal.
Just like many other people's, actually banal.
I get up early in the morning, the day takes its course.
Off to bed in the evening, nothing special, but nice.
For a few weeks now, that's changed.
And now my eyes are constantly red-rimmed.
Because bad luck has chosen me as its playmate,
And so far, I've lost every game.

What this is all about and how it comes about, I unfortunately don't know.
Why is fate hitting me in the face like Mike Tyson?
I'd like to clarify, is this supposed to teach me something?
To shed some light on the darkness, I've come up with four theses.
One: If you're down, it doesn't mean you're defeated.
Two: Bad luck is quite common, so don't take it personally.
Three: Too much navel-gazing is not good for stress relief.
Four: Good or shitty is just a matter of perspective.

There's a bright light I see in the tunnel.
I hope it's the end of it and not a high-speed train...
