Susreta je pašin kavaz

"Blago nosim da putem ne prosim,
Sahat nosim da gdje ne zadocnim,
Ata vodim da pješke ne hodim,
Haznadara da ne spavam sama!"

The Town Crier Cries

The town crier has been calling since morning till evening,
Asking who has a guest tonight,
Not to leave early,
The pasha's concubine has run away,

And taken two wagonloads of goods,
And stolen the watch from his bosom,
