Mon arrière Grand-Mère m'a contéL'histoire de son mariage
C'est un beau roman du temps passéQui débuta par un beau voyage
En ce temps-là, pour aller loin, On connaissait à peine le train

S'en allait en cahotant
Voyageurs toujours contents
Il y avait un vieux notaire
Un curé et son bréviaire
Une fille à marier
Un monsieur très distinguéLe notaire dormait, le curé priait
La belle rougissait en silence; Le monsieur parlait et lui récitait
Des rondeaux et des sonnets

S'en allait en cahotant
Par la pluie et le beau temps 2- Lorsque les chevaux péniblement
Avaient fait trente kilomètres
A l'hostellerie du "Cheval Blanc"On passait la nuit, pour s'en remettre; Pour aller de Paris à Tours, Il fallait bien au moins huit jours
Evidemment ça donnait le temps
De se connaître amplement La petite diligence

Lorsque la côte était dure
Ils descendaient de voiture
Et poussaient allègrement
Car c'était le règlement
Le ciel était bleu et le beau monsieur
Faisait les doux yeux à la belle.
Tandis que le curé se disait:"Ca y est! Ces deux-là je vais les marier!"La petite diligence

Arriva enfin à Tours
Et c'est tout le roman d'amour! C'est toujours pareil en France
Mis à part les diligences
Quand on veut se marier
Il faut savoir voyager
Il faut savoir voyager Hue!
