Come agnelli in mezzo ai lupi ora io vi mangio
Con candore di colomba e astuzia di serpente
Non portate borsa, né mantello, né calzari
Non portate pane, né bastone, né denari
Lascerete il padre e la madre ed i fratelli
Lascerete i figli e le vostre case e i campi
Non cercate il lusso delle vesti in questo mondo
Amatevi l′un l'altro, tra voi ditevi fratelli
Per servire voi veniste polvere in denaro
Accogliete nella gioia l′uomo che a voi venga
Sia l'amico che il nemico, il ladro ed il brigante
Nulla vi trattenga, vi divida, vi separi
