Golden in complexion, resplendent in form
Earrings of gold, curly hair
In your hands the thunderbolt and the banner
On your shoulder the sacred thread
Son of Shiva, the golden-haired one
Your brilliance and majesty are worshiped by the world

In your tiny form you revealed Sita
In your fearsome form you terrified Lanka
In your gigantic form you supported the demons
You accomplished Lord Rama's tasks
You brought the life-giving herb, and Lakshman was revived
Lord Rama was overjoyed and embraced you
Your countless exploits are sung in your praise
