Eu já estou virado em trapo
Creio que seja pior o dia de amanhã, já enjoei de comer rã
Tô louco é pra comer sapo
Minha vizinha, que era uma boa pessoa, fumo' nós dois pra lagoa
C'o a água a meia costela
E aproveitemo' a saída do vizinho e ela agarrou o bichinho
E atrafuncou' na panela, me convidou pra jantar
Só pra provar o sapo dela

Na casa dela, eu cheguei devagarinho, eu espetei o bichinho
Fiz um jantar delicioso
Fofo e gordinho, parece até que eu estou vendo
E eu amanheci comendo aquele sapo gostoso
E eu comi tanto que fiquei de perna mól' e, já no sair do Sol
Eu tava quase repunado
E a minha vizinha é dessas que não têm retovo
Me disse: Espeta de novo e coma bem do teu agrado
Que o meu marido não tá, vamo' lograr esse malvado!

Falei pra ela com toda a delicadeza: Eu me criei na pobreza
E como a carne que vier!
Apavorado e quase que me comovo, me deu o sapo de novo
Pra mim comer no café
E o meu vizinho, índio xucro e retovado, xirú brabo e desconfiado
Pior de que uma caipora
E a minha vizinha me disse: Não faça conta!
Pegou o meu saco de compra e botou do lado de fora
Botou o sapo no meu saco e eu tive que levar embora

Frog Hunting
