Mây vương khói chiều, xứ Huế đẹp yêu kiều
Ngơ ngẩn lòng du khách những chiều xưa
Hương giang lững lờ, trăng nước vờn đôi bờ
Câu hò vang xa đưa khúc buồn mơ.

Tôi thương nhớ nhiều khi nắng chiều êm dịu
Trên đường về thôn vĩ vắng điều hiu
Thông reo núi ngự man mác sầu thiên mụ
Ai về gửi thương nhớ chốn ngàn thơ.

Huế đẹp ơi, những chiều lơ
Sông Hương nước chảy, Vân Lâu bến đợi chờ
Nghe hò rằng đêm vắng biết về mô
Huế là thơ, Huế là mơ
Mưa đêm nức nở như câu hát nghẹn lời
Cung đàn buồn lưu luyến nỗi niềm vơi.

I miss you the most when the afternoon sun is mild
On the way back to the deserted village
Pine trees murmur on Ngu Mountain; Thien Mu Pagoda is shrouded in sadness

The Perfume River flows, Van Lau awaits on the shore
I hear folk songs saying that on sleepless nights, I don't know where to go
Hue is poetry, Hue is a dream
The night rain sobs like a song with choked-back words
The lingering sadness of the đàn bầu.
