Das Grundgesetz für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland
Erlassen vom parlamentarischen Rat am 23. Mai nineteen forty nine
In Bonn am Rhein
Präambel

Im Bewusstsein seiner Verantwortung vor Gott und den Menschen
Von dem Willen beseelt, als gleichberechtigtes Glied in einem vereinten Europa
Dem Frieden der Welt zu dienen, hat sich das deutsche Volk kraft seiner
Verfassungsgebenden Gewalt dieses Grundgesetz gegeben

Allein 19 Artikel über Grundrechte
Und die sind schon echt famos
Woran man woanders wohl nur als Wunsch dächte
Und es geht los

(Artikel 1)
Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar
Sag mal selbst, ist das nicht unfassbar? (krass wa'?)
Und sie ist unveräußerliches Menschenrecht (und damit basta)
Die Wahrung der Menschenrechte ist die Grundlage jeder menschlichen Gemeinschaft
Des Friedens und der Gerechtigkeit und Beendigung jeder Feindschaft

(Artikel 2)
Jeder hat hier das Recht auf die freie Entfaltung seiner eigenen Persönlichkeit
Soweit er nicht die Rechte anderer verletzt (und das System nicht hintertreibt)
Jeder hat das Recht auf Leben und bleibt körperlich unversehrt
Jemand für das Tragen religöser Symbole zu schlagen, ist folglich grundverkehrt

(Artikel 3)
Vor dem Gesetz sind alle Menschen gleich
Und außerdem herrscht hier Gleichberechtigung
Zwischen Mann und Frau (zumindest auf dem Papier)
Diskriminierung aufgrund von Hautfarbe, Glauben, Behinderung, Rasse
Und Geschlecht ist hier übrigens auch nicht erlaubt (und das zurecht)

Hey, das ist doch alles echt schon mal gar nicht mal so schlecht, Freunde
Und dabei waren das erst die ersten drei

Jeder kann hier frei seinen Glaube ausüben, ganz egal, welchen man hat
Und auch Pressefreiheit ist hier 'n Hauptanliegen (Zensur findet nicht statt)
Und wer für Krieg nicht so zu kriegen ist, lebt hier relativ unbeschwert, denn
Niemand darf gegen sein Gewissen zum Kriegsdienst mit der Waffe gezwungen werden

(Fünf), jeder hat das Recht auf freie Meinungsäußerung
Solange man mit seinem Geschwätz
Nicht die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen zum Schutze Jugend
Oder andere Gesetze verletzt

Kunst und Wissenschaft, Forschung und Lehre
All das ist in Deutschland frei
Die einzige Auflage, die besteht, lautet
Verfassungstreu zu sein

Preamble

Conscious of its responsibility before God and man
Inspired by the determination to promote world peace as an equal partner in a united Europe,
The German people, in the exercise of their constituent power, have adopted this Basic Law
gave itself this Basic Law.

Nineteen articles on fundamental rights alone
And they're already really terrific.
What in other places one would probably only dream of
And here we go

(Article 1)
Human dignity is inviolable
Tell me yourself, isn't that amazing? (that's wicked, innit?)
It is an inalienable human right (and that's that!)
Respect for human rights is the foundation of every human community,
Of peace and justice and the ending of all enmity.

(Article 2)
Everyone here has the right to the free development of his or her personality
Insofar as he does not violate the rights of others (and subvert the system).
Everyone has the right to life and to physical integrity.
Beating someone for wearing religious symbols is therefore fundamentally wrong.

(Article 3)
All people are equal before the law.
And there is also equality here.
Between man and woman (at least on paper)
Discrimination on the grounds of colour, creed, disability, race is prohibited.
And by the way, sex is not allowed here either (and rightly so).

No one may be compelled against his conscience to render war service involving the use of arms.

(Five), everyone has the right to freedom of expression
As long as you don't use your ramblings
Do not violate the legal provisions for the protection of young people.

Art and science, research and teaching
All of this is free in Germany.
The only condition that exists is

This is not an empty phrase, man, but largely a matter of fact. (yeah)
In what country today is one so unspeakably free from barbarism and slavery?
Is the basic order liberal and democratic?
