Das Land, in dem ich leben will

Ich hab den Eindruck, dass das, was die ganze Welt
Bislang in ihrem Innersten zusammenhält,
Wenn wir nicht aufpassen, auseinander fällt
Wie bei einem Erdbeben.
Selbst das, was man bisher für gegeben hielt.
Weswegen sich mir immer mehr die Frage stellt,
In was für einem Land auf dieser Welt
Will ich eigentlich leben?
In dem Land, in dem ich leben will, herrscht Demokratie
Und statt skrupellosem Kapitalismus
Gemeinwohlökonomie.
Ein Land, das seine Ärmsten nicht noch zusätzlich sanktioniert und das mit dem bedingungslosen Grundeinkommen zumindest einmal ausprobiert.
Dann herrschte nämlich von vornherein
Mehr Gerechtigkeit
Und für das, was wirklich wichtig ist, bliebe viel mehr Zeit.
Ich wünsche mir ein Land, wo man sich gegenseitig unterstützt
Und wo man Tier und Umwelt
Und Minderheiten schützt.
Denn in dem Land, in dem ich leben will,
Gehört jeder Mensch dazu.
Egal ob L oder G oder B oder T oder
I oder Q.
Wo weder Hautfarbe noch Herkunft
über einen bestimmt,
Sondern einzig und allein, wie man sich benimmt.
Ob man die Werte dieses Landes anerkennen kann,
Oder ob man
Mit Freiheit und Humanismus nicht sonderlich viel anfangen kann.
Ich hätt' ja nix dagegen, will ich an dieser Stelle mal betonen,
Wenn all die Intolleranten und Rückwärtsgewandten irgendwo anders wohnten.
Das Land, in dem ich leben will, wird regiert von einer Zunft, die sich von Besonnenheit leiten lässt, von Anstand und Vernunft.
Menschen, die den Rechtsstaat und die Gewaltenteilung respektieren,
Die sich nicht zum Alleinherrscher aufspielen und per Dekret regieren.
Weder sind es chauvinistische, narzistische Idioten,
Noch verlogene, rassistische Diktatoren und Despoten,
Die jeden, der nicht ihrer Meinung ist, zum Terroristen deklarieren, ihn schikanieren, inhaftieren, foltern und liquidieren.
Das Land, in dem ich leben will, ist vor soetwas gefeit,
Denn es herrscht dort eine unabhängige
Gerichtsbarkeit,
Mir Richtern, die sich gegen Korruption und Willkür positionieren
Und wo nicht dafür plädiert wird,
Die Todesstrafe wieder einzuführen.
Und Grundlage der Rechtsprechung ist ein vernünftiges Gesetz,
Kein altes Buch, das Gewalt propagiert und gegen Ungläubige hetzt.
Ich wünsche mir ein Land, wo man die Menschenrechte anerkennt und dabei Staat und Kirche,
Voneinander trennt.
In dem Land, in dem ich leben will, ist egal, was du bist,
Ob Buddhist, Moslem, Jude, Christ oder Atheist,
Weil sich selbstverständlich alle
Gegenseitig respektieren,
Und keiner versucht, den anderen
Zu missionieren.
Religion ist dort kein Vorwand
Für Unterdrückung und auch nicht für die Legitimierung schlimmster Verbrechen, wie etwa
Kindesmissbrauch,
Gewalt gegen Andersgläubige, Andersdenkende, Minderheiten und Frauen,
Gerade gegen solche, die sich gegen das Unrecht
Aufzubegehren trauen.
In dem Land, in dem ich leben will, sind Frauen gleichgestellt.
Das heißt, für gleiche Arbeit
Kriegen sie das gleiche Geld.
Man behandelt sie grundsätzlich
Mit gebührendem Respekt.
Sie werden weder genitalverstümmelt,
Noch degradiert zum Sexobjekt.
Und niemand schreibt ihnen vor,
Was sie tun und lassen sollen.
Sie entscheiden selbst, wie sie sich kleiden und wen sie
Heiraten wollen.
Und brauchen keine Angst zu haben, wie in anderen Ländern hier auf Erden,
Von der eigenen Familie
Umgebracht zu werden.
Das Land, in dem ich leben will,
Ist ein Land, in dem man, ohne gleich im Knast zu landen, frei seine Meinung äußern kann.
Wo man nicht mit dem Tod bedroht wird,
Als Katikaturist,
Als Lyriker, Satiriker oder kritischer Journalist.
Denn gerade eine gerade eine freie, qualitativ hochwertige Presse,
Ist meiner Meinung nach in unser aller Interesse, weil sie wachsam den Machthabern auf die Finger schaut,
Der man vertrauen kann, weil man weiß, dass sie auf Fakten baut.
In dem Land, in dem ich leben will, wird in Bildung investiert,
Kinder werden individuell gefördert und mit Wissen ausstaffiert
Und eben nicht indoktriniert
Und mit Absicht dumm gehalten, sondern für in die Lage versetzt, dieses Land
Klug und weise mitzugestalten.
Dann fallen sie auch micht vermeintlich einfachen Lösungen anheim
Und gehen weder den religiösen Rattenfängern
Noch Populisten auf den Leim,
Weil sie sich eigenständiges Denken und kritisches nachfragen erlauben.
Je mehr die Menschen wissen,
Desto weniger müssen sie glauben.
Das Land, in dem ich leben will, hat aus der Gecshichte gelernt
Und ist keins, das sich von Mitgefühl und Menschlichkeit entfernt.
Wo Holocaust und Klimawandel
Nicht geleugnet werden
Und nicht diejenigen in der Mehrheit sind,
Die dieses Land gefähreden.
Nein, in diesem Land ist man einander zugewandt.
Statt Hass und Gewalt regieren hier Herz und Verstand.
Ein friedliches Land, das nicht hintenrum zu Hauf
Anderen Ländern, Waffen verkauft.
Ein Land, was tolerant ist,
Aber gleichzeitig auch ganz klare Kante zeigt
Gegem jede Form von Intoleranz,
Das bei Unrecht laut wird und bei Nationalstolz still.
Das ist mal ein Land, in dem ich leben will.

The Country I Want to Live In

I have the impression that what has held the whole world together
Deep inside until now,
Will fall apart if we're not careful
Like an earthquake.
Even what was previously taken for granted.
Which is why the question arises more and more for me,
In what country on this earth
Do I actually want to live?
In the country where I want to live, democracy reigns
And instead of ruthless capitalism
A common good economy.
A country that doesn't sanction its poorest even more and at least tries out the unconditional basic income.
Because then there would be from the start
More justice
And much more time for what is really important.
I wish for a country where people support each other
And where animals and the environment
And minorities are protected.
Because in the country I want to live in,
Everyone belongs.
No matter if L or G or B or T or
I or Q.
Where neither skin color nor origin
Determines you,
But solely how you behave.
Whether you can accept the values of this country,
Or whether you
Can't do much with freedom and humanism.
I wouldn't mind, I want to emphasize at this point,
If all the intolerant and backward-looking people lived somewhere else.
The country I want to live in is ruled by a guild that is guided by prudence, decency and reason.
People who respect the rule of law and the separation of powers,
Who don't pretend to be absolute rulers and rule by decree.
They are neither chauvinistic, narcissistic idiots,
Nor lying, racist dictators and despots,
Who declare anyone who disagrees with them a terrorist, harass, imprison, torture and liquidate them.
The country I want to live in is immune to such things,
Because there is an independent
Judiciary,
With judges who take a stand against corruption and arbitrariness
And where there is no plea
To reintroduce the death penalty.
And the basis of jurisdiction is a reasonable law,
Not some old book that propagates violence and incites against unbelievers.
I wish for a country where human rights are recognized and where the state and the church are
Separated from each other.
In the country where I want to live, it doesn't matter what you are,
Whether Buddhist, Muslim, Jew, Christian or Atheist,
Because of course everyone
Respects each other,
And no one tries to convert the other.
To missionize.
Religion there is no excuse
For oppression, nor for the legitimization of the worst crimes, such as
Child abuse,
Violence against people of different faiths, dissenters, minorities and women,
Especially against those who oppose injustice
Dare to rebel.
In the country where I want to live, women are equal.
That means, for equal work
They get the same money.
They are treated in principle
With due respect.
They are neither genitally mutilated,
Nor degraded to sex objects.
And no one tells them
What they should or shouldn't do.
They decide for themselves how they dress and who they
Want to marry.
And don't have to be afraid, like in other countries here on earth,
Of their own family
To be killed.
The country I want to live in,
Is a country where you can freely express your opinion without ending up in jail.
Where you are not threatened with death,
As a cartoonist,
As a lyricist, satirist or critical journalist.
Because especially a free, high-quality press,
Is in all our interest, in my opinion, because it keeps a watchful eye on those in power,
Whom you can trust because you know they are based on facts.
In the country where I want to live, people invest in education,
Children are supported individually and equipped with knowledge
And not indoctrinated
And deliberately kept stupid, but enabled to help shape this country
Wisely and cleverly.
Then they won't fall for supposedly simple solutions
And don't go to the religious Pied Pipers
Or populists on the glue,
Because they allow themselves independent thinking and critical questioning.
The more people know,
The less they have to believe.
The country I want to live in has learned from history
And is not one that is devoid of compassion and humanity.
Where the Holocaust and climate change
Are not denied
And those are not in the majority,
Who are endangering this country.
No, in this country people are there for each other.
Instead of hate and violence, heart and mind rule here.
A peaceful country that doesn't secretly sell weapons
To other countries by the dozen.
A country that is tolerant,
But at the same time shows a clear edge
Against any form of intolerance,
That is loud when there is injustice and silent when there is national pride.
Now that's a country I want to live in.
