Sind richtig dicke Fichten wichtig
Denn durch dicke Fichten wird das Fichtendickicht
In seinem Gleichgewicht ertüchtigt

Wenn der Wind weht, und zwar richtig
Und der Wind weht mitunter richtig berüchtigt!
Nicken zwar die Fichten tüchtig
Knicken aber nicht - richtig!

Der Wind wird von den Fichten beschwichtigt
Bis er sich aus dem Dickicht verflüchtigt
Die Fichten müssen dafür nicht mal tricksen
Es reicht schlichtweg, dass sie so dick sind

Wär'n sie nicht so dick sondern mickrig
Brächen sie sicherlich augenblicklich
Mittig durch, wie so ein Knicklicht
Das wär für's Dickicht nicht sehr erquicklich

Doch die Fichten sind zum Glück
Windgeprüft und richtig dick
So dass der Wind tüchtig blasen kann
Es ficht das Fichtendickicht nicht an!

Because thick spruces make the spruce thicket
Strengthened in its balance

When the wind blows, and it blows hard
And the wind sometimes blows notoriously!
The spruces nod diligently
But don't break - right!

The wind is pacified by the spruces
Until it disappears from the thicket
The spruces don't even have to use tricks
It's simply enough that they are so thick

If they weren't so thick but puny
They would surely break instantly
Right through the middle, like a glow stick
That wouldn't be very refreshing for the thicket

But the spruces are luckily
Wind-tested and really thick
So the wind can blow hard
It doesn't bother the spruce thicket!
