Und versuche mich an den anderen vorbeizuschieben
Als ich seh': he, da ist ja einer frei geblieben!

Aber neben mir sitzt – na spitze! –
Ein Typ, der Musik auf seinem iPod hört
Und das ziemlich laut, was mich ziemlich stört
Denn es dröhnt und ertönt jedes Lied
Im immer gleichen dumpfen, stumpfen Hip-Hop-Beat

Und das so dermaßen laut, dass man
Im ganzen Großraumabteil den Text verstehen kann
Nur leider ist der nicht so richtig interessant
Um nicht zu sagen irrelevant
Doch wohl nicht für meinen Sitznachbarn, wobei, ich glaub
Dieser Typ ist eh schon so gut wie taub

Es reicht mir irgendwann und ich sprech ihn an
Ob er seinen iPod nicht mal bitte etwas leiser machen kann
Er reagiert nicht und schaut mich nicht mal an. Denn
Offensichtlich hat er mich akustisch nicht verstanden
Bevor ich meine Bitte wiederholen kann
Ruft ihn plötzlich irgendwer auf seinem Handy an

Er zückt sein blinkendes Telefon
Und es erklingt ein entzückender polyphoner Klingelton
Der ungefähr fast genauso klingt
Wie das, was die ganze Zeit da aus'm iPod dringt
Ohne den leiser zu dreh'n nimmt er sodann
Einen Stöpsel aus'm Ohr und geht ans Handy ran

"Hallo?

Ah ja
Ja nee, ich sitz' im Zug gerade!
Was?
Der Empfang ist nicht so gut

Im Zug!

Ja, im Zug!
Mhh
Ja, jetzt höre ich Dich wieder, ja

Wer auch immer da am anderen Ende dran ist
Scheint nicht zu schnallen, dass im Zug kein Empfang ist
Denn er ruft kurzerhand noch mal an
Und es ertönt der uns wohlbekannte Klingelklang

"Hallo?
Hal- Ah ja, du wieder, ja!
Ja, ich sitze im Zug
Mhh, ja
Ja, nee!

Dieses Spiel wiederholt sich
Auf der ganzen Fahrt wohl zig-
Dutzendmal. Wir sind schon fast in Bielefeld
Und ich frag mich: woher nimmt man nur das viele Geld
Dass man den Hip-Hop-Mann von nebenan
Mal eben stundenlang immer wieder anrufen kann?

So hören wir in endloser Repetition
Rap aus'm iPod und aus'm Telefon
Lediglich unterbrochen vom Geplärr
Meines Sitznachbarn, der wohl glaubt, dass, wenn er
Möglichst laut in sein Handy kräht
Sein Gesprächspartner ihn besser versteht

Auf einmal kräht er leider nicht mehr allein
Denn über Lautsprecher schaltet sich der Zugchef ein
Mit seinem gewohnt monotonen Sermon
An essentiell wichtiger Information

"Meine Damen und Herren, es ist Mittagszeit
Wie wäre es zum Beispiel jetzt
Mit einem leckeren Stück Kirschen-Käse-Kuchen
Und einem frisch gezapften Kaffee

Und all das wird jetzt von ihm zu guter Letzt
In perfektes Oxford-Englisch übersetzt
Da bekanntermaßen mit der Deutschen Bahn
In letzter Zeit überwiegend Engländer fahr'n

Schräg gegenüber sitzt ein kleines Kind
Das, als es das hört, sofort zu schreien beginnt
Es wird wahrscheinlich aus England sein
Das Geschrei geht einem jedenfalls durch Mark und Bein
Der Lärmpegel steigt so stetig schnell
Auf ein paar hundert Dezibel
Ein Riesengeschrei von fern und nah
Und ich denk noch so bei mir: Aaah!

In so 'ner Situation, da sehn ich mich

Einmal nichts hören, nur das Zirpen einer Grille

Aber leider sind wir in der Welt, in der wir leben
Von permanentem Lärm umgeben

Hängen heut fest installierte Boxen an der Wand

Also, ich geh
