Kontynenty na odległość dłoni są
Samoloty jak z dziecinnych bajek
Ponad głową coraz szybciej niebo tną

Ludzie wciąż wędrują wielkim, głośnym stadem
Z pomieszania mowy słychać jeden głos
Zbudowano drugą, większą Wieżę Babel
Kto pamięta tamtej, pierwszej wieży los?

Świat się kurczy jak przekłuty balon
Człowiek też maleje szybko razem z nim
Przerażony swą niewielką skalą
Coraz szybciej samotnieje w tłumie tym

Stąd ucieczki nieprzytomne pustą drogą
Jakby gdzieś coś za zakrętem było tam
I te wiersze napisane dla nikogo
I te płótna pełne nostalgicznych plam

Wieża Babel, piękny, choć nieludzki ląd
Coraz dalej, сzy to postęp, czy to błąd?
Coraz dalej, coraz trudniej uciec stąd

Cut through the sky faster and faster

People still wander in a large, loud flock
Out of the confusion of tongues, one voice can be heard
A second, larger Tower of Babel has been built
Who remembers the fate of that first tower?

The world is shrinking like a punctured balloon
Man is also shrinking rapidly with it
Terrified by his small scale
He is increasingly lonely in this crowd
