И от битвы той затряслась земля
Шевельнулся в ней старый Юша-змей
Море синее всколыхалося, ужаснулося вся вселенная
Далеко летят ясны соколы, воронье бия к морю синему
Только силы их недостаточно, закатилося ясно-солнышко...

Черный змей вскричал лютым голосом:
"Покорил я всю землю-матушку. Покорил я всю поднебесную.
Был я князем тьмы; стану всем вам царь!"

Отошли тогда ясны соколы, в кузню Сварога поднебесного
Развели в печах пламя яркое, пламя яркое искры падают
Звонко бьют-куют наковальнями,
Первый плуг куют для сырой земли.

Говорят они Змею Черному: "Лютый Черный Змей,
Повелитель Тьмы!
Пролижи-ка ты двери в кузницу
Будешь ты тогда вселенной царь!"

Согласился он, пролизал двери в кузницу.
Запрягли тогда змея в первый плуг
И пахали им землю-матушку
Расступилося поле бранное, поглотило всю красну кровушку

И на поле том вырос дивный сад,
Называемый в мире Ирием.
В том саду поют птицы дивные
Травы мягкие чуть колышатся
Поднимается из-под камня в высь
Чудо-дерево – ветви зеленью
Рядом с деревом грозный царь Сварог
Держит за руку Ладу-Матушку.

Синими глазами, небо поедая
Белыми лесами, вьюгу проклиная
Солнца заждались...

Скованы ручьями, лунными ночами
Гроздьями рябины, девушки не милы
Деду помолись

Под снегами реки, в облаках прорехи
Далеки дороги, оббивать пороги
Стынет в жилах кровь

Мутною водою, Велес небо кроет
Шепотом искрится, не дает напиться
Омут-чародей

Звездными путями, цепкими когтями
Лунною дорогой, белою пологой
До неба добрались

Не удержит буря, не скует морозом
Воронье не сглазит, холод не задушит
Песнь не уведет

Веет Студень снегом, далеко до Лета,
По забором Лики, гомон-шепот крики,
Едет Коляда

Iriy / Kolyada Rides

And from that battle the earth shook
Old Yusha the serpent stirred within
The blue sea was stirred up, the whole universe was horrified
Clear falcons fly far, beating the ravens to the blue sea
Only their strength is not enough, the bright sun has set...

The Black Serpent cried out in a fierce voice:
"I have conquered the whole Mother Earth. I have conquered the whole heaven.
I was the prince of darkness; I will become the tsar of all of you!"

Then the clear falcons departed, to Svarog's forge in the sky
They kindled a flame in the furnaces, the bright flame falls sparks
They beat and forge with anvils, ringing
They forge the first plow for the raw earth.

They say to the Black Serpent: "Fierce Black Serpent,
Lord of Darkness!
Just lick the door to the forge
And then you will be a king of the universe!"

He agreed, and licked the door to the forge.
Then they harnessed the serpent to the first plow
And plowed the Mother Earth with it
The battlefield parted, absorbing all the crimson blood

And in that field grew a wonderful garden,
Called Iriy in the world.
In that garden sing wondrous birds
Soft grasses sway slightly
Rises from under the stone into the skies
A miracle-tree – its branches green
Next to the tree is the formidable Tsar Svarog
Holds Lada-Mother by the hand.

With blue eyes, devouring the sky
With white forests, cursing the snowstorm
They await the sun...

Bound by streams, moonlit nights
Clusters of rowan, girls are not loved
Pray to grandfather

Under the snows of the river, in the clouds, there are holes
Roads are far away, knocking on thresholds
Blood freezes in the veins

With muddy water, Veles covers the sky
He whispers and glistens, he does not allow to drink
Pool-sorcerer

By the starry paths, with tenacious claws
Along the moonlit path, white and smooth
They reached the heavens

A storm will not hold back, a frost will not fetter
Ravens won't jinx it, cold won't choke
The song will not lead away

Studen breathes with snow, far to Summer,
Along the fence of Faces, clamor-whisper, shouts,
