Se inició con el Tano Genaro en un trío que integrara con el Tuerto Camarano a la guitarra, él al violín y aquél al bandoneón.

Acompañamiento con guitarras de Guillermo Desiderio Barbieri, la "segunda guitarra", el "
Negro" Barbieri era el más antiguo guitarrista cuando se produjo el accidente en Medellín (donde murió).
Se había incorporado en 1921, cuando aún Gardel actuaba en dúo con Razzano, Gardel lo llamaba "el Barba", fue descubierto en la ciudad de Lincoln, en la provincia de Buenos Aires, en el transcurso de una gira del dúo Gardel-Razzano por el interior de la Argentina y José María Aguilar este último incorporado al grupo Gardel en 1928.
El debut de Aguilar se produjo el 18 de julio de 1928.
Lo llamaban "el Indio" y su mal genio lo llevó a dejar el acompañamiento de Gardel en varias oportunidades, aunque siempre volvía después de su enojo.
Alude al pájaro llamado cabecita negra: pertenece a la familia de los fringílidos, nombre de una familia de aves principalmente granívoras que engloba unas 128 especies.
La taxonomía de esta familia ha sido muy discutida y en el pasado se incluyeron dentro de ella especies de otras familias, ahora consideradas separadas.
Poseen un pico cónico y robusto y fuertes cráneos donde se anclan poderosos músculos utilizados para romper las semillas de las que se alimentan.
En el ala presentan 10 plumas primarias de las cuales sólo 9 están bien desarrolladas siendo la más externa (la décima) muy pequeña o incluso vestigial.
Mayoritariamente son especies arbóreas, aunque se alimentan frecuentemente en el suelo.
Las hembras se encargan de construir el nido, en forma de copa abierta, y de incubar los huevos, aunque los machos colaboran en la crianza de los polluelos.
Las crías son alimentadas con insectos o semillas.
Aproximadamente 20 especies de fringílidos viven en América Latina, a las que se suman las especies europeas introducidas localmente como el jilguero común en Uruguay.
El más extendido es el cabecita negra común que se distribuye desde Venezuela hasta el norte de Chile, desde las zonas costeras hasta los 5.
000 m de altitud.
Una especie muy parecida es el cabecita negra picudo que se localiza en los Andes y se distingue por su pico más robusto.
El cardenalito se encuentra en Venezuela y Colombia y presenta un vistoso plumaje de color rojo salvo la cabeza, las plumas de las alas y la cola que son negras.
Esta ave está en peligro de extinción.
Clasificación científica: la familia fringílidos pertenece al orden paseriformes.
Los nombres científicos de las especies latinoamericanas son: el del cabecita negra común, Carduelis magellanica y el del cabecita negra picudo, Carduelis crassirostris.
El cardenalito se llama Carduelis .

"Barbieri was the oldest guitarist when the accident occurred in Medellin (where he died).
