Poeta. Nació en Bogotá (Colombia) el 31 de enero de 1887 y falleció en San Justo (Buenos Aires) el 8 de marzo de 1956. Poeta y escritor colombiano. Si bien inicióse en su tierra natal, fue en Buenos Aires donde realizó su obra literaria y ocasionalmente colaboró en revistas bogotanas, "Cosmos", entre otras.

Músico, clarinetista, compositor y director.Bazán nació en Buenos Aires (Palermo) el 26 de junio de 1887 y falleció en La Plata (Buenos Aires) el 9 de mayo de 1936.

Grabación realizada en Buenos Aires para el sello Odeón. Acompañamiento con guitarras de Guillermo Desiderio Barbieri, la "segunda guitarra", el "Negro" Barbieri era el más antiguo guitarrista cuando se produjo el accidente en Medellín (donde murió). Se había incorporado en 1921, cuando aún Gardel actuaba en dúo con Razzano, Gardel lo llamaba "el Barba", fue descubierto en la ciudad de Lincoln, en la provincia de Buenos Aires, en el transcurso de una gira del dúo Gardel-Razzano por el interior de la Argentina y José María Aguilar este último incorporado al grupo Gardel en 1928. El debut de Aguilar se produjo el 18 de julio de 1928. Lo llamaban "el Indio" y su mal genio lo llevó a dejar el acompañamiento de Gardel en varias oportunidades, aunque siempre volvía después de su enojo.

Una vez, en momentos de encanto,
Una bruja, de amor me embrujó,
Con sus ojos tan grandes y llenos
De fuego, más fuerte, que el fuego del sol.
No pudiendo, desde ese momento,
Ser ya dueño de mí, sucedió
Que la bruja jugaba conmigo,
Cual nadie en el mundo con otro jugó.
La tirana vendóme la vista
Con un velo de loca ilusión,
Y sus dientes preciosos se hincaron
En el fondo de mi corazón.
Como fruta que endulza el ensueño
Y que amarga, también, el dolor,
Fue para ella mi carne sensible
Y dióme su boca nefasto licor.
Pero al fin, con alquimias y magias,
A la bruja logré dominar:
Mis pupilas, de incendio iracundas,
Sus hondas pupilas pudieron quemar.
Desde entonces no supo la pérfida
Seguir siendo mi bruja fatal
Y mis manos jugaron con ella,
Cual niño con una muñeca banal.
Su mirada velé con el velo
De una trama sutil y falaz,
Y mis dientes mordieron su carne
Perfumada, con gesto voraz.
A su vez fue mi fruta la bella,
Amarga, meliflua, letal;
En su boca mis labios pusieron
El antídoto contra su mal.
Es así como ahora conozco
Los misterios de toda pasión,
Y doy filtros, consejos y drogas
A niñas que quieran ser brujas de amor.

Recording made in Buenos Aires for the Odeón label. Accompaniment with guitars by Guillermo Desiderio Barbieri, the "second guitar", the "Negro" Barbieri was the oldest guitarist when the accident occurred in Medellin (where he died). He had joined in 1921, when Gardel was still performing in a duet with Razzano, Gardel called it "the Beard", it was discovered in the city of Lincoln, in the province of Buenos Aires, during a tour of the Gardel-Razzano duo in the interior of Argentina and José María Aguilar the latter joined the Gardel group in 1928.
