Hay un ranchito sobre una loma

Al otro día, después del alba

And from the pines is heard a whistle
When a pampero wind crosses swiftly
And in its race it overturns the leaves

Then the night spreads its cloak
Covering the countryside with solitude
The birds cease their cries
In that space of immensity

The next day, after dawn
A gaucho sings beside a fire
And in the cadences of his arpeggios
He fills the tuning fork with good news
