Año del 88, en Reynosa Tamaulipas,
La patrulla 05, en llamas se consumía
De transito dos agentes, a unos maleantes seguían

Su labor desempeñaban, a bordo de esa patrulla,
Cuando un carro que pasaba, les dejo caer la metralla,
Carretera rivereña, testigo de esa batalla

Homero Flores le dice, contestando con su escuadra,
No tengo miedo a morirme, si es que me quiebra una bala
La sirena se oye triste, cuando entre balas sonaba

Al pasar por Rancho Grande, seguía aquel duelo a balazos,
Pero aquellos dos agentes, ya habían pedido refuerzos,
Les fueron a dar alcance, al llegar a "Los Cavazos"

Abandonaron el carro, y del monte les tiraron,
Y también los dos agentes, de la patrulla bajaron,
Y aquellos 4 maleantes, a balazos la explotaron

Patrol 05 was consumed by flames
Two agents from traffic were pursuing some criminals

They were carrying out their work aboard that patrol car,
When a passing car opened fire on them with machine guns
