A esperança constante, na busca de diamante
E a vida vai melhorar
O sol o vento e a chuva curtiam o corpo cansado
E com as doses da pura, ajudavam a descansar
Mas quis a sorte da vida
Que a sua terra querida
Tiveste que abandonar
Foste daqui pra lá: cidade de pedra e aço
O mundo a desbravar
Levando como bagagem, dentro do peito guardado
A dona dos olhos verdes e o coração quebrado
Poeta de alma simples, de talento e inspiração
Aceite esta homenagem, tu que a tantas cantaste
Nas rimas e na viola
Hoje distante está só, mas tenhas poeta amigo
O meu reconhecimento e de todos de coró
