Je me suis réveillé cette nuit
En entendant ces drôles de bruits
Et près du lit j'ai vu un p'tit homme vert
Il avait trois yeux et onze mains
Je crois que c'était un martien
Je lui ai parlé gentiment

C'est là que je me suis réveillé
J'avais compris que j'avais rêvé
Et comme je passais près de ma fenêtre
Croyez-moi si vous le voulez
Tout était encore dessiné
Et là j'ai fini par comprendre

Ce martien avait fait tous les doubles "slurp"

Mais ce n'était pas tout

Petit martien, si tu m'entends
Reviens me voir de temps en temps
Tu trouveras toujours chez moi
Une table pour poser ta fusée
Une heure ou deux pour discuter
Chez moi pas question d'être pressé.

And there I finally understood

This Martian had made all the double "slurps"

The Martian had added the "boing"

Little Martian, if you can hear me
Come see me again from time to time
You will always find a table at my place
To put your rocket on
An hour or two to chat
At my place there's no question of being in a hurry.
