Jo joutui armas aika ja suvi suloinen
Kauniisti joka paikkaa koristaa kukkanen
Nyt siunaustaan suopi taas lämpö auringon
Se luonnon uudeks luopi, se kutsuu elohon

Taas niityt vihannoivat ja laiho laaksossa
Puut metsän huminoivat taas lehtiverhossa
Se meille muistuttaapi hyvyyttäs Jumala
Ihmeitäs julistaapi se vuosi vuodelta

Taas linnut laulujansa visertää kauniisti
Myös eikö Herran kansa luojaansa kiittäisi?
Mun sieluni sä liitä myös äänes kuorohon
Ja armon Herraa kiitä kun Laupias hän on

Summer Hymn

Now comes the lovely time and the sweet summer
Everywhere beautifully adorned with flowers
Now its blessing grants again warmth of the sun
It recreates nature, it calls to life

Again the meadows are green and the corn in the valley
The trees of the forest hum again in their foliage
It reminds us of your goodness, O God
Your wonders it proclaims year after year

Again the birds trill their songs beautifully
And shouldn't the Lord's people also praise their creator?
My soul, you also join your voice to the choir
And thank the gracious Lord for he is merciful
