I'm humbled because I'm at home, and you're the captive
They blamed me because I'm outside and you're inside
Shame on those who do not recognize the role of women in the struggle

You were imprisoned while you were carrying
My first cry as a child was a cry of freedom

The only child in a women's prison
I was born in prison while you were still alive
As a child, your handcuffs were my toys
You breastfed me with awareness, so I grew up aware
The greatest joy was when they took me out
I never saw my father, but I had more than one mother
