Y′avait Pierrot, Truc et Machin qui faisaient hurler les voisins.
La nuit devenait un folklore qui finissait après l'aurore.

Sur le coup de cinq heures du matin
Nos cœurs se baignaient dans le vin à trois pistoles.
On fredonnait n'importe quoi
Pour quelques heures on était roi, chez toi, Nicole.
Dans ces heures-là, on parlait bien.
On disait aujourd′hui, demain, comme à l′école.

To feed our crazy ideas
We would come to end the night and put our worries to sleep.
