إسقني وإسقي يوسف، مزة الطعم قرقفا
إسقنيها ملأً وفا، لا أُريد المنصفا
وضعِ الزق جانباً ومـع الزق مصحفاً، آه

وأحس من ذا ثلاثة، وأتل من ذاك أحرفاً
خير هذا بشر ذا، فإذا الله قـد عفا
فلقد فاز من محا ذا بِذا عـنه واكتفى

Khamsa "the Khamriyyat of Abu Nuwas"

Give me a drink, and give drink to Yusuf, the taste of wine is heavenly
Give it me to the full and without reprieve, I don't want moderation
Put the wineskin aside and with the wineskin a Qur'an, ah

And feel from this trio, and from that read the letters
The best of this is a human, this, if God forgives
