Es gibt so viele Märchen.
Und eins davon hab' ich für dich -

Denn der Prinz auch sonst gehorsam war, jetzt nahm er sein Mädel
in den Arm.
Und er sagte seinem Vater: "Schau doch hin!"

Ließ das Mädchen für zehn Jahre lang aus dem Königreich verbannen.
Als der Prinz das hörte, zügellos folgte er ihren Spuren.
Und man sagt, daß er sie niemals fand und am Ende ein Bettler wurde.
Es ist heut' noch so auf dieser Welt, daß sich mancher
für 'was Bestes hält.
Darum hab' ich dir dies Märchen auch erzählt.
