Y yo, que soy arrítmico, he preferido conocer nunca todos los detalles

Ni parejas, ni amantes
Fueron, básicamente, animales de compañía
El miedo, el puto miedo

De su infancia conozco poco, pero estoy seguro que pasaron cosas
Un padre trabajador, una madre obediente
Mayoría absoluta de mujeres en una familia típica de los ochenta
Un barrio a las afueras de Madrid, un corazón inexperto
Dudas existenciales sobre la muerte de un insecto

Cuando canta desafina, pero me gusta
Cuando se enfada sin razones, la desactivo
Cuando se enciende, yo también prendo
Cuando no llora, yo pongo el charco

Cuando cocina, la como a besos
Cuando conduce, le meto mano
Cuando me chupa, le aprieto fuerte y nos entendemos
Cuando se corre es un seísmo sin escalas

Es enemiga de la injusticia

Pintamos cuadros, llegamos tarde
Y mandamos al infierno a los dictadores
Al sindicato, a los polis malos, al presidente
A las aseguradoras, a los narcos, a los notarios

This poem is called "My Revolutionary Woman"

My revolutionary woman is almost 35
She speaks two languages, is a graduate, licensed, and an expert
And she hates raw fish
She's the youngest of four
She has two cats, an Astra, three nephews
She goes for a run on an empty stomach and dances three days a week

She had a boyfriend who was a son of a bitch
It was between the ages of 20 and 25
And she still preserves winter from that trip
Pieces of a useless puzzle, not suitable for the faint of heart
And I, who am arrhythmic, have preferred to never know all the details

Maybe because of this
All the men who came after were never boyfriends
Nor partners, nor lovers
They were basically pets
Fear, that fucking fear

I know little about her childhood, but I'm sure things happened
A working father, an obedient mother
Absolute majority of women in a typical eighties family
A neighborhood on the outskirts of Madrid, an inexperienced heart
Existential doubts about the death of an insect
And 79 ways to defend against the rain

When she sings, she's out of tune, but I like it
When she gets angry for no reason, I turn her off
When she gets turned on, I also catch fire
When she doesn't cry, I put the puddle

When she cooks, I eat her with kisses
When she drives, I give her a hand
When she sucks me, I squeeze her hard and we understand each other
When she comes, it's a non-stop earthquake

She is sweat
Tornado, ice
She is a garden
Mirror, sky

My revolutionary woman is almost 35
She pretends to be tough
She goes to the bathroom in the mornings and hugs me without tanks in her eyes
She is an enemy of injustice
She designs maps, invests in time, buys me things
And sometimes she outsources our problems

If she wakes up in a good mood, we party
We paint pictures, we show up late
And we send dictators to hell
The union, the bad cops, the president
Insurance companies, drug dealers, notaries
To the baby-snatching nuns, the child-raping priests
To the child-beating parents

My revolutionary woman wants to sponsor a donkey
She has a discontinued perfume
A cousin in Barcelona and unbalanced cholesterol

I worry
She doesn't go home alone and doesn't let me know
When she walks along the edge of a cliff
When she flies her ship at 140
When she's sick and doesn't take medication
When she talks to me about demonstrations, revolutions, breaking everything
Leaving Spain

I worry
But she's free and that's why I love her
And it's normal that she risks her life on a precipice
It's her life

My revolutionary woman is no comic book heroine
She doesn't walk the runways
And she lives in economy class

She is a wall
River, lead
She is a window
Sea, gold

She is the dynamite of these poems
