Y grabe mi primer longplay con Naffer Durán (bis)

Y grabamos un par de longplays en aquel entonces
Bonitos como lo recodaran ustedes
Ahí fue donde comenzaron mis seguidores
A ayudame y a quererme como me quieren

El tercer paso que di me dejo recuerdos
Cuando grabé la locura con Juancho Rois
Yo no se porque seria la separación
Porque eso hace tanto tiempo que no me acuerdo

Hay grabamos un solo longplay pero fue tan bueno
Que a mi todavía me dicen que es el mejor (bis)

My Musical Life

As a young boy back in Carrizal
Where I was born and raised with my family
Along with Martin Maestre who was my uncle
May God have him in glory because he passed
And as a memento Martin left me
The education for my musical life

Later I came to the valley for a festival
And I sang a parranda and it was said
That that boy who sings can make it
Because of the style he has for singing

And immediately they took me to Medellín
And I recorded my first album with Naffer Duran (bis)

The second step I took was with Alberto Lopez (bis)

But by then everybody knew who Diomedes was
And we recorded a pair of albums at that time
Beautiful as you'll remember
That's where my followers started
To help me and to love me as they do

The third step I took left me with memories
When I recorded La locura with Juancho Rois
I don't know why it could have been the separation
Because that was so long ago that I don't remember

We recorded only one album but it was so good
That people still tell me that it's the best (bis)

The fourth step I took was with the king of kings
Oh! the fourth step I took was with the king of kings
In other words Colacho Mendoza that great master
He deserves so much respect from me
Because with him Diomedes learned a lot
For example to be on my own and to defend myself
Like it happened to me with him in those times

But as the saying goes, there's no fifth evil (bis)

The fifth one was my turn to do it with a young man
That I met partying in Patillal

Today Cocha has become a professional
And Diomedes came back to record with Juancho again (bis)
