На перекрёстке двух районов
Среди коммерческих палаток, кинотеатров,
Кабаков и стадионов
С полиэтиленовым пакетом
Я целый день хожу, согнувшись пополам
И собираю шампиньоны.
Искать мне не лень
Ещё один день прошёл
А мне наплевать
Вот радость опять - Нашёл! Нашёл!

Я приношу грибы тюками
И аккуратно все их на зиму сушу
На кухне жарко, словно в бане.
В моей двухкомнатной квартире
Нет боле места для кровати, негде спать
Здесь всё завалено грибами.
А как же, я рад,
Теперь у меня есть склад.
Всю жизнь я искал грибочки
И стал богат.

Champignons

At the crossroads of two districts,
Amongst commercial tents, cinemas,
Bars and stadiums,
With a plastic bag in hand,
I walk all day, bent in half,
Gathering champignons, you see.
I don't mind the search,
Another day has passed,
And I don't care a bit,
Here's the joy again - Found one! Found one!

I bring home mushrooms by the sackful,
And carefully dry them all for winter,
The kitchen's hot, like a sauna you see.
In my two-room apartment,
There's no more room for a bed, nowhere to sleep,
Everything's piled high with mushrooms, believe me.
But hey, I'm glad,
Now I have a storage space, you see.
All my life I've searched for these fungi,
And now I'm rich, finally.
