Voy a cantar un corrido, para darles un Consuelo
De dos amigos queridos, que sostuvieron un duelo

Ay estaba felix cuevas, con sus amigos tomando
En eso iba por la calle el joven Vicente
Hernandez, ordeno que lo llamaran, cuando vio que iba pasando
Vicente le obedecio, pero si con precaucion
Y con pasos jigantescos se presentó a la reunion
Saludando a Felix cuevas, tambien a carlos pinson
Luego que lo saludó, Felix cuevas tira in grito,
Y al instante le pregunta ¿tu eres el animalito?

Vicente le contestó, nada importa veterano
El gusto te lo hago yo,
Al fin no eres ni mi hermano...
Y se sacó la pistola, dandole gusto a su mano!...
Cuevas recibio un balaso, muy cerca del corazon...

Escargandole la super, tumbandoló de un rosón...

Felix se salió pa fuera, apretandose la herida
Y en casa de los bibiano,
Se encontró con su querida,
Y tristemente le dijo... vengo entregando la vida
Un compañero de cuevas, salió al momento a vengar
Tras de una mesa e billar,
Para poderle tirar, contestandole Vicente. La misma te va a pasar
Ya cuando iba para afuera, que ya iba de retirada
Le tiraron por la espalda, para poderlo matar,
Como traia puesto el guante, dispuesto para pelear
Se murio Vicente Hernandez, sus recuerdos ah dejadoo
Que murio como los gallos,
En la raya y no rajados,
Llevandose una figura, de gran fama en el estado

The Little Animal

I'm going to sing a corrido, a tragic story to relate
Of two dear friends who quarreled and sealed their fate
United, they were, from earth up to the pearly gate

When young Vicente Hernandez entered, they all could see
