Die Torwächter öffneten ihm, Akritas tritt hinein
Άλλοι σκαμνιά δίγν' ατον, άλλοι καυκίν απλών'νε
Einige geben ihm Schemel, andere breiten Decken aus
και σο σκαμνίν 'κί κάθεται και το καυκίν 'κί παίρει
und auf den Schemel setzt er sich nicht und die Decke nimmt er nicht
Έσυρεν το σπαθίν ατου ας σο χρυσόν θηκάρι
Er zog sein Schwert aus der goldenen Scheide
