Astronaut

Hier sitze ich bei Kaffee und Gebäck,
Ganz wie auf dem Videoband von vor einigen Jahren.
Die gleichen Leute und fast die gleichen Fragen
Auf dem Geburtstag, wo wir jedes Jahr waren.
Ich guck wen an, der guckt mich an, hat was
Gefragt, ich sag zurück nicht ganz, was ich sagen will.
Das Gesicht ist, was man überall hinhält,
Bis es hart wird und still.
Und in meinem Kopf ist ein Astronaut,
Der durch das Dunkel treibt.
Und von da, wo er grad ist, schickt er einen Funkspruch
Und berichtet, wo er bleibt.
Ungezählte Stunden in der Küche, Brote essen,
Und Tee sehr viel Tee.
Ich guck in alle Töpfe, ab und zu in den Computer,
Darin vergeht die Zeit, hier nicht. Soweit ich seh',
Ist hier alles erstarrt, erstarrte Fotos an der
Wand, erstarrte Sachen im Regal, erstarrte Schuhe im Flur,
Erstarrte Worte auf dem Tisch, erstarrte Augen gucken aus dem Spiegel
Zurück. Nur
In meinem Kopf ist ein Astronaut,
Der durch das Dunkel treibt.
Und von da, wo er grad ist, schickt er einen Funkspruch
Und berichtet, wo er bleibt.
Die Sittiche schimpfen, ich treibe Sport, ich geh spazieren.
Es ist alles am Ort, ich habe Milz, ich habe Nieren.
Ich hab ein Herz, in dem ist Blut, das bei Stillstand gerinnt,
Das ist gut, das ist bei allen Leuten so.
Und alles ist nur eine Übung für
Das richtige Leben, wann auch immer das
Beginnt.
Und in meinem Kopf ist ein Astronaut,
Der durch das Dunkel treibt.
Und von da, wo er grad ist, schickt er einen Funkspruch
Und berichtet, wo er bleibt.
Die Gegenwart ist unklare Gemengelage.
Die Zukunft ist ein Knäuel von Möglichkeit, ich bin es satt.
Die Vergangenheit ist streckenweise
Schön, aber sie findet nicht mehr statt.
In meinen Händen geht sehr viel kaputt,
In meinen Lungen ist Rauch,in meinen Ohren ist es laut.
Und in meinen Kopf ist ein Astronaut,
Der geht schwerelos spazieren.
Irgendwann wird er den Funkkontakt zur Bodenstation
Eventuell verlieren.

Astronaut

Here I sit with coffee and pastries,
Just like on the videotape from a few years ago.
The same people and almost the same questions
On the birthday, which we spent here each year.
I look at someone, and they look at me. Something was
Asked, I say back not quite what I want to say.

Until it becomes hard and calm.

Rigid words on the table, rigid eyes peer back out of the mirror.

In my head there is an astronaut,

The parakeets scold, I do sports, I go for walks.
Everything is in place, I have spleen, I have kidneys.
I have a heart, in which is blood that clots when it stands still,
That's good, that's the same with everyone.
And everything is just an exercise for
The real life, whenever that
Begins.

The present is an unclear mixture.
The future is a ball of possibility, I'm sick of it.
The past is beautiful in parts,
But it no longer takes place.
A lot breaks in my hands,
There is smoke in my lungs, it's loud in my ears.
And in my head there is an astronaut,
Who floats by weightlessly.
At some point, he may
Possibly lose radio contact with ground control.
