Stumm glotzt ein Fisch

Unterm Seerosenblatt.
Und oben auf der Brücke
Schiebt ein Mensch sein Rad.
Und Sonnenlicht
Fällt auf Weg und Kies
Auf Mensch und Rad
Auf das und dies
Und es schillern die Bunten - Flügel der Libellen
Und ein Quäntchen Licht
Fällt zu dem Fisch da unten
Und dann verliert es sich - in der Tiefe

And up on the bridge
A human pushes his bike.
And sunlight
Falls on path and gravel
On human and bike
On this and that
And the dragonflies' colorful wings shimmer
And a quantum of light
Falls towards the fish down there
