Licht spielt über dem Wasser
Und da sind Libellen.
Die Oberfläche kräuselt sich
An einigen Stellen.
Und Licht fällt in das Wasser – hinein
Zwischen die Wellen.
Der Tümpel ist trüb und es tanzen die
Teilchen es tanzen die Teilchen um mich
Und dann verliert es sich - in der Tiefe
Da unten verliert es sich.
Stumm glotzt ein Fisch
Im schattigen Winkel
Unterm Seerosenblatt.
Und oben auf der Brücke
Schiebt ein Mensch sein Rad.
Und Sonnenlicht
Fällt auf Weg und Kies
Auf Mensch und Rad
Auf das und dies
Und es schillern die Bunten - Flügel der Libellen
Und ein Quäntchen Licht
Fällt zu dem Fisch da unten
Und dann verliert es sich - in der Tiefe

Light plays over the water
And there are dragonflies.
The surface ripples
In some places.
And light falls into the water – inside
Between the waves.
The pond is murky and dances around
The particles, the particles dance around me
And then it gets lost - in the depths

A fish stares silently
In the shady corner
Under the water lily leaf.
And up on the bridge
A man pushes his bike.
And sunlight
Falls on path and gravel
On man and bike
On this and that
And the colorful wings of the dragonflies shimmer
And a bit of light
Falls to the fish down there
