In Christus ist mein ganzer Halt.
Er ist mein Licht, mein Heil, mein Lied,
Der Eckstein und der feste Grund,
Sicherer Halt in Sturm und Wind.

Mein Trost ist er in allem Leid.
In seiner Liebe find ich Halt.

Das ewge Wort, als Mensch geborn,
Gott offenbart in einem Kind.
Der Herr der Welt,
Verlacht, verhöhnt
Und von den Seinen abgelehnt.
Doch dort am Kreuz,
Wo Jesus starb
Und Gottes Zorn ein Ende fand,
Trug er die Schuld
Der ganzen Welt.
Durch seine Wunden bin ich heil.

Sie legten ihn ins kühle Grab.
Dunkel umfing das Licht der Welt.
Doch morgens früh
Am dritten Tag
Wurde die Nacht vom Licht erhellt.
Den Tod besiegt,
Das Grab ist leer,
Der Fluch der Sünde ist nicht mehr,
Denn ich bin sein,
Und er ist mein.
Mit seinem Blut macht er mich rein.

Nun hat der Tod die Macht verlorn.
Ich bin durch Christus neu geborn.
Mein Leben liegt in seiner Hand
Vom ersten Atemzuge an.
Und keine Macht in dieser Welt
Kann mich ihm rauben, der mich hält.
Bis an das Ende dieser Zeit,
Wenn er erscheint in Herrlichkeit.

In Christ is all my hope secure.
He is my light, my health, my song,
The cornerstone, the anchor sure,
The shelter in the storm, so strong.
Who can compare with our dear Lord?
Who can drive away our fears?
My comfort in the time of need,
In His love, I find release.

The Word of God, incarnate born,
God revealed in one like us.
The King of kings,
Reviled, despised,
By those He came to love and save.
Yet on the cross,
Where Jesus died,
God's wrath was poured out upon Him,
He bore the sins
Of all mankind.
By His wounds, I am made whole.

In a cold grave, His body lay,
Darkness enveloped the Light of the world.
But early on
The third morning,
Light dispelled the darkness of the night.
Death is defeated,
The grave is empty,
Sin's curse is broken forevermore,
For I am His,
And He is mine.
With His blood, He makes me clean.

Now death has lost its sting for me,
In Christ, I am reborn anew.
My life is held within His hand,
From my first breath, until the end.
No power in this world can take,
What He has promised to keep.
Until the end of time,
When He returns in majesty.
