Y veo que me lo creo más que cuando era pequeño
Con el pelo cuadrado, las cintas y las rimas de ego
Todo era distinto pero en el fondo
Sigo siendo el mismo niño que se enfrentó a su primer folio
Y eso tuvo que ser como en 1990, que es hace un montón de tiempo ya
La verdad es que lo piensas y hace como 17 años ya
Pues cuando empecé a escribir rap
Lo hacía pues un poco porque en el barrio todo el mundo escribía rap
Entonces lo que hice fue, pues empecé a hacer tonterías
A no decir nada en realidad, porque yo lo que quería era ligar
Que es lo que queremos todos con esa edad, efectivamente
Y entonces yo recuerdo que en el colegio era el único raper del cole
Y me llamaban rapero y a mí me daba como vergüenza
Porque me daba miedo que los, que si sabían, me llamaran toyaco
La famosa palabra toyaco que está de moda en la grabación de este disco, toyaco
Entonces yo todavía recuerdo incluso la primera letra que escribí
Que decía así, porque yo era Tommy, decía:
Ey, mi nombre es Tommy, puedo ser mulato, cuarto octavo
Pero lo que importa es que tengo un mic en mi mano
Pues gracias a él a ti te llegan mis rimas
Acabo de remontar el vuelo y me dirijo hacia la cima
A partir de ahora empezarán a disparar

Bueno, pues sabes, así, era un poco el estilo que había en aquel momento

Y me invitó a hacer un grupo

Y fue una época bonita, porque fue cuando empezamos a escribir
Letras en equipo, que yo nunca había hecho eso
Y de hecho con ellos fue cuando subí por primera vez a un escenario
El grupo se llamaba "Boys in darkness", que es un nombre que tela, que tela
Y decía, a ver que me acuerdo, eh
Mi nombre es

Bueno, no me acuerdo, en realidad lo pasábamos muy bien haciendo las rimas
Lo que pasa es que llegó un momento en que
Después de hacer conciertos y hacer, eh, presentaciones y cosas
Hubo un día que tuvimos que actuar en la Stones, en la mítica Stones de Torrejón
Y pasó lo que suele pasar con muchos grupos, sobre todo de rap
Por lo menos antes pasaba, ahora no sé si seguirá pasando
Y es que, Juanjo, mi amigo, empezó a salir con una chica
Y, dejó el grupo, y me dejó tirao
Y yo me di cuenta ese mismo día, el día de la actuación de Stones
Que fue la primera vez que actué sólo, sin él, claro, ya no existía el grupo
Pero bueno, yo seguí escribiendo mis raps, no podía parar, seguí haciéndolos
Hasta el punto en que bueno, yo iba al mismo instituto, a la misma clase con el señor TC, que era hermano de Frank-T
Entonces un día, no sé cómo fue, le pasé mi maqueta y tal
Ya sabía que yo hacía rap, claro
La escuchó Frank-Y, y me vino TC un día a decirme que a Frank-T le había gustado mi maqueta
Y que quería producirme, y claro yo siempre digo lo mismo
No sé, no sé, no sabía lo que era en aquel momento producir, pero yo tampoco podía decir que no
Así que dije, sí
Y empezamos a trabajar juntos, y fue como muy bonito, porque de repente me vi en casa de Frank
En su habitación, trabajando juntos, hice el primer jardín de la alegría
Estamos hablando del 94, más o menos, cuando, 93, 94
Bueno el Jardín de la Alegría, lo de:
Es el Jardín de la Alegría, dónde los pájaros vuelen y pían
Dónde las flores huelen a flores y las hadas se entretienen con preciosas melodías
Es el Jardín de la Alegría, el se quedó, pero la base cambió
Y ocurrió algo, algo muy importante, y es que Frank decidió dejar el Club de los Poetas Violentos
El Club de los Poetas Violentos como todos sabéis
Fue el grupo a lo mejor más importante entonces
Por eso me gusta escuchar a gente como Black B con su, EP que dice que somos de la escuela de Madrid y los poetas porque es verdad
Todos crecimos un poco intentando hacer lo que ellos hacían
Entonces cuando Frank me dijo que iba a dejar el Club, yo, eh
Admito que pensaba que era un error, aunque luego el tiempo le ha dado la razón, hizo bien, no
Y a mí me vino de maravilla, yo fui quién más gano
Porque me pidió que me fuera con él a hacer conciertos
Y eso es lo que hice, estuvimos como tres años haciendo conciertos
Y fue una época en la que aprendí un montón
Ahí fue cuando definitivamente ya me di cuenta que ya no podía salir de esto
Porque empecé a ver cómo era el mundo del rap por dentro
Empezamos a hacer conciertos, aprendí mucho de, cómo es la psicología con el público
Cómo se prepara un buen show, cómo se tiene que respetar a la gente que tienes delante cuando vas a hacer una actuación
Y nada, y el tiempo siguió pasando, empezaron a salir más discos de otros artistas
Yo empecé a pensar que ya estaba preparado para sacar un disco
Ahora tengo que decir que a lo mejor no lo estaba, pero yo pensaba que sí lo estaba
Y de hecho mi disco lo grabé, el primero, Mi Turno, en 1998, que también hace un huevo ya
Pero, yo pensaba que lo podía haber sacado antes
Pero bueno el caso es que salió, después de elegir entre compañías me di cuenta de que todas las compañías en general son una panda de buitres
Y de gente mala, es decir, no hay una mejor que la otra
Simplemente tienes que tenerlo en la cabeza
No me trataron mal, simplemente me trataron como se suele tratar siempre a un artista cuando entra en una compañía, no
Y bueno después del primer disco vino el segundo, después del segundo el tercero
En el tercero pasó algo importante, que fue, di un pequeño salto, no
De cara a lo que era la repercusión porque, suelen decir que no se sabe cuando cambia la vida de un artista o de una persona en general
La mía quizá en verdad empezó a cambiar como raper el 11 de Septiembre del año 2000
El año anterior justo a las torres gemelas
Y es que nació un sobrino mío, y yo estaba en Torrejón, en aquella época no tenía coche todavía
Entonces me fui al tren para ir a Móstoles, que Móstoles está bastante lejos de Torrejón en tren
Entonces por el camino iba escuchando el Moody Waters de Red Man
Y escuché un tema en el que, el Supernova Tres creo que es
En el que él pues habla como una mujer, él pone la voz de una mujer y tal
Y me pareció como muy gracioso y pensé que a lo mejor era una buena idea hacer un tema
Entre una relación de un hombre y una mujer
Y pensé en Lola, me senté en el tren, y dije, "¿cómo se empieza un tema?"
Pues digo, voy a empezar con:
Hola, buenas noches, venía a buscar a Lola
Habíamos quedado para irnos de copas
Y todo eso que sigue después
Por cierto yo no me llamo Óscar, que lo sepa todo el mundo, no me llamo Óscar
Óscar es que simplemente rima con Lola, vale
Entonces bueno, después de eso, ese tema tuvo mucha repercusión
El disco en sí la tuvo también, como decimos, pues, seguir siendo cada vez un poquito más profesional, empezando a conocer a la gente grande de esto del rap
Estoy muy contento de cruzar con amigos importantes dentro de este movimiento que me han ayudado a nivel artístico y a nivel profesional
Pues salió, otro disco, otro disco, otro disco, los 995 y hasta ahora
Que me encuentro aquí con vosotros, acabo de grabar lo que es Striptease
Hoy es, creo, 29, no, qué día es hoy, 26 de..., 27, hoy es 27 de Diciembre del 2006
Ya acabo de terminar mí último trabajo hasta la fecha
Que seguro no será el último del todo, pero será el último hasta ahora
Y como ya lo he grabado todo puedo decir, bueno lo acabáis de escuchar
Que creo que es mi mejor trabajo, estoy muy contento
Agradezco mucho a todos los que han venido a participar en este disco

And they called me a rapper and I was kind of embarrassed
Because I was afraid that those who knew would call me a "toyaco"

So I still even remember the first lyrics I wrote
