Doch ein Delphin, der all dies sah,

Und so kamen wir dann wieder an die Luft, die frische,
Und ein Walross rief: "Kommt alle her – ihr Fische!"
Und alle kamen sie – sogar der Weiße Hai
Und sie trugen mich hinweg –
An einem Wasserschloss vorbei.
Ich dank dir, Traum, dass ich das alles sehen kann,
Denn - wie die Sterne sagen -
Bin ich ein Wassermann.

Im Schloss war′n süße Nixen,
Die luden mich gleich ein
Bei flottem Liebesspiel
Ihr Wassermann zu sein.
Doch dann sah ich schon das Festland
Und es kam die Wasserwacht.
Ich dachte: Nee, bleibst lieber hier -
Leider bin ich aufgewacht.
Ich dank Dir Traum, dass ich das
Alles sehen kann,
Denn - wie die Sterne sagen -
Bin ich ein Wassermann

Aquarius

I had recently a vivid dream,
A story very crazy.
I was in a boat on the ocean
And a sailor said: "I'm sorry,
But I'm going to have to
tip you over the railing.
The devil take you,
If the sharks do not nibble on you!"
Oh man, I thought, this must not be,
But then it had already happened:
I sank into the waters like a stone
And almost died.
But a dolphin who saw all this,
Came near and said: "No fear,
"Don't worry,
We'll manage it, just come here and ride on me."

And so we came up for air, the fresh,
And a walrus called: "Come all here – you fishes!"
And all came they – even the great white shark
And they carried me away –
Past a water castle.
I thank you, dream, that I can see all this,

In the castle were sweet nymphs,
Who invited me at once
In brisk lovemaking
To be their Aquarius.
But then I saw the mainland
And the water guard came.
I thought: No, you'd rather stay here -
Alas, I woke up.
