Si scrivono da sè, non ci fanno andare via;
Ci tengono a giocare con la musica.

Ma coloriamo i nostri limiti con certe poesie.
Più di così, non so se ci consentono di fare:
Le parole spesso non racchiudono le idee:
In un viaggio così breve, con troppo lunghe soste,
Quasi nulla si presenta facile.
E la vita contraddice "Bon voyage", e tutto tace;
Si confondono le immagini di lei
Che non è soltanto un volto e nemmeno un'abitudine.
E' lei che si moltiplica per te:
Non mandarla via per nuove caratteristiche,
Potrebbe non tornare indietro più.
Non fare più valigie tra biglietti e passaporti,
Quella nave che trasportano sei u.
Si fermano qui tra i progetti di fuga,
Tra domestiche magie e romanticismi
I misteri di una vita tra le circostanze ignote
Che ci tratterranno qui, con la memoria

They write themselves, they don't let us go;
They keep playing with music.
And then we get emotional, but we dress up our shame
With thoughts that move us from here.
And we fill pages with tears and lies,
Explaining who we would be.
And rarely do we hit the truth,
But we color our limits with certain poetry.
I don't know if they allow us to do more than this:
Words often fail to capture ideas:
On such a short journey, with so many long stops,
Almost nothing comes easily.
And life contradicts "Bon voyage," and all falls silent;
Images get confusing about her
Who is not just a face and not even a habit.
It's her who multiplies for you:
Don't send her away for new features,
She may not come back again.
Stop packing suitcases with tickets and passports,
That ship they carry is you.
They stop here among the escape plans,
Among domestic magic and romanticism
The mysteries of a life among unknown circumstances
That will keep us here, with memory
