Passo queste mie giornate
Come sabbia nel deserto;
Hanno aperto una ferita in più.
Occasioni cancellate
Verso i margini del tempo,
Mentre il vento le trascina giù.
Non hanno pace, non hanno sguardi nè pietà,
Tra le voci di rimorsi e pentimenti.
Non danno più malinconia
Nell′impossibile regia
Delle ipotesi senza un'età.
Era la vita che già
Avevo immaginato ma
Diversa nel finale;
Ma non sarebbe stata certo normale.
Mi regalavano bugie
Avare di sorrisi
E sentimenti già divisi
E buttati via.
Gli alibi che so a memoria
Che non cambiano una storia:
Non si può tornare indietro mai.
Sbagliati incontri
Guardando male dentro me,
Ma sono stato io l′incontro col destino
Così vicino alla realtà,
Come una nave che non sa
Navigare nel vento che c'è.
Era la vita per me,
Era già scritta male in me,
Inevitabilmente;
Soldato scelto nella guerra perdente.
E le cattiva compagnie
Non sono una scusante:
Le cicatrici sono tante e profonde.

Ad imparare a decidere,
Pronti a sorridere a chi
Non ha voglia di noi.
Era la vita che già

I spend my days
Like sand in the desert;
They opened another wound.
Cancelled opportunities
To the edges of time,
As the wind drags them down.
They have no peace, no looks or pity,
Amidst the voices of remorse and regrets.
They no longer give melancholy
In the impossible direction
Of hypotheses without an age.
It was the life that already
I had imagined but
Different in the end;
But it certainly would not have been normal.
They gave me lies
Stingy with smiles
And feelings already divided
And thrown away.
The alibis I know by heart
That do not change a story:
You can never go back.
Wrong encounters
