The children are playing, under the blue sky they play,
The children are absorbed in their sweet games, they run and don't tire, and they play.
They fly in this sky like birds, and by the waterwheel, they whistle like flutes.
And in their hands, they dip red and white papers, coloring this life.
The children drink from the river of roses, and they play.

So many nights we stay up for you, covering you, caring for you, waking you up.
And when you grow out of our hands, you run away to play.
