Campo de Sueños

Uno se cura todo cuando duerme,
Cuando uno duerme y sueña ese lugar.
Ese lugar de campo siempre verde
Y las colinas bajas, sólidas
De un cielo horizontal.
Uno se cura todo cuando habita una casita con ventanas
Donde siempre hay que mirar

Hoy desperté so'ando con el sitio
Donde imagine de niño
Que de grande iba a habitar.

El suelo ahí en mi casa es de cuadritos.
Cuadros negros y blancos de ajedrez.
Con tres ventanas, vivo en un cuartito,
Desde donde veo como es todo el derecho y al revés.
Voy adelante con mi mecedora,
O hacia atrás, según me empuje
O me recline con los pies.

Desde mi puesto tengo buena vista.
Un campo de sueños tengo por jardín
Un camino de piedras redonditas,
Que empezó en mi puerta y parte
Serpenteando a algún confín siempre mejor.
Todo sucede y va pasando a diario.
Las mañanas son eternas,
Sopla el viento y brilla el sol.

Hay cuentos de conejos, comadrejas, lobos
Y zorritos buenos que vendrán para almorzar.
Conforme a mi entender todo es correcto,
El tramposo se cae al pozo, ya el honrado lo vencerá.

Yo soy un gnomo sabio cuando duermo,
Y al despertarme me he encontrado al fin
Tan lejos de los campos de mis sueños.
Me hice un grandulon risueño,
Y me pregunto: ¿qué hago aquí?

No me hagáis caso, solo estoy pensando
Si el colorin colorado no me va a dejar dormir.
Aprecio y me levanto temprano
Para contarnos hermanos,... los cuentos que le aprendí.

Dream Field

That forever green country place
