Ты говоришь, а ветер стонет в деревьях,
И шар земной из-под ног уплывает.
Наверное, пройдёт какое-то время
Прежде, чем я всё осознаю.
Ты говоришь, а я стою, как послушный манекен
С продырявленным сердцем.
Мгновенье, и целый город разрушен.
Теперь мне некуда деться.
За тучами месяц угрюмый скользит во мгле
Навстречу непоправимому.
И, кутаясь в свой старый шарф, я смотрю,
Как Солнце встаёт над руинами...
Раскинув руки, лежу на битом стекле,
Едва надеясь на то, что кто-то услышит,
Чем больше слёз, тем горизонт всё светлее.
А небо... всё ближе.
Немеркнущая красота в снежинках
Над искрами ягод рябиновых
Так медленно бледнеет звёздная даль,
И Солнце встаёт над руинами...
Взлетают вороны, кружатся над пепелищем.
Такой ценой досталась мне эта мудрость?
И видимо, чтоб стать светлее и чище,
Нам нужно пройти по горящим углям.
Упавшие в воду мосты однажды
Исполнят неосуществимое.
Под пеплом опять прорастают цветы
И Солнце встаёт над руинами...

...And the Sun Rises Over the Ruins

You speak, and the wind moans in the trees,
And the globe slips away from under my feet.
It will probably take some time
Before I fully understand everything.
You speak, and I stand like an obedient mannequin
With a heart pierced through.
A moment, and the whole city is destroyed.
Now I have nowhere to go.
Behind the clouds, a gloomy moon glides in the darkness
Towards the irreparable.
And, wrapped in my old scarf, I watch,
As the sun rises over the ruins...
I lie on broken glass with my arms outstretched,
Barely hoping that someone will hear,
The more tears, the brighter the horizon becomes.
And the sky... is getting closer.
Unfading beauty in snowflakes
Above the sparks of rowan berries
So slowly the starry distance fades,
And the sun rises over the ruins...
Ravens take flight, circling over the ashes.
Is this the price I paid for this wisdom?
And apparently, to become brighter and purer,
We need to walk on burning coals.
Bridges fallen into the water will one day
Fulfill the impossible.
Flowers grow again under the ashes
And the sun rises over the ruins...
