And today I went to an interview for a boring job
And the lady there was boring too - I started to fade away
Yet I smiled and begged, which took time and energy
Though she pissed me off - I could really, really use the money ...

Gestern habe ich unser Badezimmer in allen möglichen Farben gestrichen
Und vorgestern habe ich ausgeschlafen, bevor ich einkaufen ging
Und ich habe unser Essen gekocht, schien das Geschirr vergessen zu haben
Und ich habe ein bisschen ferngesehen und bin ins Bett gegangen...

Jetzt ist schon Mittwoch - die halbe Woche ist vorbei
Noch ein Mittwoch voller Dinge, die ich nicht erledigt habe
Die Woche fliegt vorbei wie ein Flugzeug, das kein Ziel hat
Und jetzt ist schon Mittwoch - Wie sind drei Tage verschwendet worden?!?

Und heute war ich bei einem Vorstellungsgespräch für einen langweiligen Job
Und die Frau dort war auch langweilig - ich begann, wegzudriften
Trotzdem lächelte ich und bettelte, was Zeit und Energie kostete
Obwohl sie mich genervt hat - ich könnte das Geld wirklich, wirklich gut gebrauchen ...

Ja, noch ein Mittwoch voller Dinge, die ich nicht erledigt habe
