9 AM asphalt, my bicycle scorched by the sun.
I put on the "Summer Album" I picked last night.
Gathering the wind, I wonder if I'll see you.
I boarded the train.

The sun scorches the back of my neck.
Well, there's nothing I can do about what I've missed.
Staring at a stray cat, I wonder, where should I go?

Oh, right, that's it. At our usual spot,
I'll gaze at the sky, just blankly stare.
This morning's events flashed through my mind.
I push them to the back and turn up the volume.

My shirt reflects the light, catching the corner of my eye.
I kick a pebble into the flowing water.
Everything is a summer phantom. Before I get lightheaded, I'll drink the
Cider... oh, it's already lukewarm.

Wait a minute.
Was it a dream? Or am I just dizzy from the sun?
At our usual spot, beneath the steel tower,
You're there. You were standing there. You've been staring this whole time.

You hopped and disappeared into the shimmering heat haze.
I've been in the sun too long. I'm going crazy.
I collapsed in the tower's shade and thought.

It was a summer phantom! Before I get overheated, I'll buy some ice-cold
Cider.
Before this summer's heat fades, I made a vow.
