Es war einmal ein Liebespaar

Marie Galetta war ihr Name
Er hieß Karl Prinz -
Und jetzt beginnt's!

Schön war der Tag, als sie vor ihm ging
Auf der Straße von Passau nach Prag
Und weil es ein schöner Tag war, sagte er zu ihr:
"Es ist ein schöner Tag!"
So kamen sie bald in ein ernstes Gespräch –
Vor allem über das Wetter
Er sagte: "Es ist heiß!"
Und sie sagte: "Wie ich heiß? –
Ich heiß Marie Galetta!"

So gab ein Wort das andere –
Sie hatte lange blonde Beine
Und einen Dackel an der Leine
Und eine volle Unterlippe –
Der Dackel hatte Grippe!
Und er war ein charmanter Mann,
Er hatte Augen, blau wie Pflaumen
Und einen Biedermeierdaumen
Mit dem er konnte, was er wollte – jederzeit!

Schön war'n sie, jung war'n sie
Stramm war'n sie, frei war'n sie –
Also natürlich auch verliebt!
Froh war'n sie, dumm war'n sie
Scharf war'n sie, zwei war'n sie –
Also natürlich auch verliebt!
Schick war'n sie, resch war'n sie
Süß war'n sie, fesch war'n sie –
Also natürlich auch verliebt!
Und taten alles was Verliebte tun: Sie gingen baden
Sie machten Ausflüge zu abgeleg'nen Pfaden
Sie gingen paddeln oder segeln oder rodeln
Erklommen Berge, nur um oben falsch zu jodeln!
Und eines Tages, als der Karl in den Chiemsee sprang
Passierte es, dass er hentlich ertrank!

So kamen die zwei in ein ernstes Gespräch –

Ich heiß Marie Galetta!"

So gab ein Wort das andere –
Sie hatte vielsagende Beine
Und einen Dackel an der Leine
Ihr Haar war weich –
Der Dackel war so bleich!
Und er war ein charmanter Mann
Er hatte Augen, große, schwarze
Und eine wohlgeformte Warze –
Die schien, wenn's dunkel wurde ultraviolett!

Frisch war'n sie, lieb war'n sie
Blöd war'n sie, leicht war'n sie –
Also natürlich auch verliebt!
Flott war'n sie, nett war'n sie
Frech war'n sie, seicht war'n sie
Also natürlich auch verliebt!
Keck war'n sie, g'schwind war'n sie
Zart war'n sie, blind war'n sie –
Also natürlich auch verliebt!
Und taten alles was Verliebte tun, in unser'n Breiten:
Sie gingen schwimmen oder fechten oder reiten
Sie spielten Tennis oder schossen spitze Pfeile
Sie stiegen auf Berge, insbesondere auf steile!
Und schließlich fand der Mann den Gipfel eines Bergs zu schmal
Und fiel hinunter in ein weit entferntes Tal!

Schön war der Tag, als sie zum Begräbnis ging

Und ein Mann, der zufällig hinter ihr ging, sagte auch:
"Es ist ein schöner Tag!"

Und sie sagte: "Hm, kühl?! –
Ich heiß Marie Galetta!"

So gab ein Wort das andere –
Sie hatte immer noch zwei Beine
Und ihren Schnauzer an der Leine
Ihr Mund war rot –
Der Dackel war schon tot!
Und er war ein charmanter Mann
Er hatte Augen, schlanke, braune
Und eine seidene Posaune –
Denn er war sehr bekannt als Mann von gutem Ton!

Schlimm war'n sie, hübsch war'n sie
Wild war'n sie, wach war'n sie –
Also natürlich auch verliebt!
Fein war'n sie, guat war'n sie
Echt war'n sie, schwach war'n sie –
Also natürlich auch, najaja ...
Schlicht war'n sie, schnell war'n sie
G'scheit war'n sie, hell war'n sie –
Also natürlich auch verliebt!
Und taten alles was Verliebte tun: Sie hielten Hände
Und schwor'n sich gegenseitig Liebe ans Ende
Und dass die Sonne ihres Lebens jetzt erst aufgeht
Und dass der Eine ohne den Andern sicher draufgeht!

Doch als sie schwimmen gehen wollte, hat er schadenfroh gelacht
Und gesagt: "Das kommt gar nicht in Betracht!
Das kommt gar nicht in Betracht!
Aber nein, ich denk' ja gar nicht dran!

Ich geh' nicht schwimmen oder baden
Denn das schmerzt mich in den Waden –
Ich geh' höchstens ins Kaffeehaus!
Ich will kein Wanderränzlein schnüren
Oder dich ins Grüne führen –
Doch ich führe dich sehr gerne zum Soupé aus!

Ich schieß' nicht Pfeile in den Äther
Und ich reit' kaan Zentimeter!
Und das hat auch seinen guten Grund:
Denn schwimmen, reiten, und so fort
Das gehört zur Sparte "Sport" –
Und Sport, h-h, ist nicht gesund!

Ich will nicht Schlittenfahr'n, nicht rodeln
Und mit Skis fahr'n soll'n die Dodln!
Ich fahr' Auto oder mi'm Zug!
Ich brauch' kaan Völkerball, kein Tennis
Schau kein' Berg mir an, und wenn is
Mir der Schönberg hoch genug!
Ich will nicht boxen und nicht ringen
Und nichst werfen und nichts schwingen
Und nicht springen oder rennen wie a Hund!
Ich will nichts kicken und nichts heben –
Ich will einfach länger leben
Und Sport, h-h, ist nicht gesund!"

Drauf gingen beide voller Freude
In das nächstbeste Gebäude
Welches ein Kaffeehaus barg
Bestellten hundert Zigaretten
Diese rauchten sie in Ketten
Mit Espresso, doppelt stark!
Von da an schlemmten sie und zechten –
So wie Sportler heimlich möchten
Denn die Sportler ha'm im Leben wenig Freud!
Und sie schwelgten unverdrossen
Und sie pampften und genossen
Und sie haben es nie bereut!
Sie hatten keine Zerrungen
Verstauchungen und Prellungen
Verrenkungen und Blutungen
Und Quetschungen und Schwellungen –
Und da sie nicht am Sport gestorben sind
Leben sie glücklich noch heut'!

And did everything lovers do: They held hands
And swore each other love to the end
And that the sun of their lives is only now rising

I don't go swimming or bathing
Because it hurts my calves –
